Michael received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from SUNY Stony Brook, followed by his Juris Doctor degree from the Georgetown University Law Center. He is a Registered Patent Attorney licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and is also admitted to practice in Florida and New York. Michael is currently vice-chair of the Dade County Bar Association Intellectual Property Law committee, as well as an active member of the International Trademark Association. Michael is AV peer-rated (the highest rating available) by Martindale Hubbell, has been named a “rising star” by South Florida Super Lawyers Magazine from 2009-2011, and has recently been named to the Florida Legal Elite list for Intellectual Property Rights for 2011.
Michael’s interest in the intersection of green business and intellectual property arose from his representation of clients offering different eco-friendly goods and services as well as his concern for the environment, and he been awarded the title of LEED Green Associate by the Green Building Certification Institute.
